3 Main Causes of Itchy Stretch Marks

Stretch marks make people extremely self-conscious and develop low self esteem. Not only that, stretch marks can also cause a lot of physical discomfort. Many people complain about itchiness that comes with stretch marks. But what exactly are the causes of itchy stretch marks?

Small raised red spots that develop on stretch marks and are itchy at the same time may be polymorphic eruption of pregnancy or PEP. PEP is basically a rash that could proliferate to other parts of the body like the breast, arms and thighs. It is known to be associated with the skin stretching, which usually occurs in women during pregnancy when there is rapid weight gain. The itchy sensation often goes away in about 7 days, however, it may not settle entirely until after childbirth. If the itchiness becomes almost unbearable, you may be prescribed with antihistamines or a steroid cream.

There are other causes of PEP (also known as PUPPP or pruritic urticarial papules and placques of pregnancy). PUPPP is also known to run in families, usually traced through the father's side. Upon doctor's go signal, you may use natural stretch mark creams to ease the severity of itchness and treat stretch marks at the same time. What's great about natural stretch mark creams is that they contain both powerful and soothing properties like aloe vera.

A major cause of PUPPP aside from pregnancy is rapid weight gain. On average, people who have PUPP have more weight gain and babies that weigh more than usual. It is understandable that a rash can develop alongside stretch marks because stretch marks basically form over skin that has been overly stretched to its limits and become highly sensitive. The skin becomes stretched, dry, and inflexible, therefore becoming more prone to PUPPP. The results are itchy stretch marks with reddish bumps all over.

Secret of Beautiful Skin - Kick Off Your Bad Habits Plus Choosing the Right Skin Care Treatment

It sounds so simple yet it took lots of effort (understanding what your skin needs) and determination to accomplish one purpose; to look young again!

Everybody wants to look young and have radiant skin complexion; those who have it want to preserve it, those who is losing it want to regain the gorgeous skin texture! Unfortunately, most of us do not even understand their skin well, and worst of all, applying the inappropriate skin care products, causing the further damage to the skin or not even near to preserving youthful looking skin.

Skincare treatments are not about having the most expensive or branded skincare products and apply it as frequently as you can! But understand what your skin needs, and having to treat your skin with the right ingredients from the best skin treatment products is the effective way to go about right skincare practices.

Firstly, your skin need to be cleansed daily. It is important to clean it especially the pores where dirt will clog and infect the skin Using natural mild cleanser or scrubber and massage your face in circular motion which help to stimulate the blood circulation underneath the skin Do not use too much pressure on the skin as it will injure the texture of the skin especially with those oily skin.

Next stage will be the toner. It will help to tighten the pores which give your skin the smooth looking surface. Don't rub the cotton pad with toner against your skin instead just dab it briefly onto the skin This is to prevent from causing more fine lines.

Lastly a good natural moisturizer will prevent the skin from drying and cracking. Keeping the skin at all time moisturized is the great step in anti aging treatments.

However, that was only the external skin care practices. You still need to consume lots of water (latest 2 hours before bed time) to hydrate your body and keep your skin clear and healthy from the inside. Maintaining a good balance of diet is just another important practice that will allow your body system to stay healthy enough to re juvenile your skin cells and keep it well textured and look young. Skipping oily and deep fried food definitely is a good start in your task of achieving anti aging remedies program by reducing the acne and oily skin problem.

Adopting good lifestyle habits is just another equivalently important factor in the secret of beautiful appearance. Straining your body by staying up late, smoking and heavy drinking are just reversing your anti aging skin practice process and put your daily treatment practices into the drain. In short, a healthy lifestyle and a consistent daily treatment have got to work hand in hand to achieve the highest outcome.

By adhering to the above recommendation in skincare practices, choosing the best anti-aging skincare products will be easier and work more efficiently and effectively.

DO NOT have the misconception why the some anti aging skincare products don't work, even when you have already applied the best skincare products for a long while. After you have read this article, it could be your poor living habits that is actually preventing the skincare treatment to work effectively, worst still it has nullified the benefits of skin care treatments. So, that is The Secret Of Beautiful Skin revealed!

Start living the way of life, which is healthy from inside by maintaining healthy diet, using good skincare from outside by practicing the daily routine, and you shall have a radiant, gorgeous, smooth, young looking appearance in weeks to come.

The Best Food For Problem Skin

Diet plays an important role in the overall health of your largest organ - your skin. But you don't necessarily have to eat good food to receive its healing benefits. If you've tried expensive, over-the-counter medicines that didn't work, go no further than your kitchen for these homegrown skin remedies.

If your summer plans include the beach or camping, be sure to take along a bottle of apple-cider vinegar. The acid in the vinegar has a healing quality that can relieve minor skin irritations. Use it to take the sting out of sunburned skin and encourage healing. It will also relieve itching and swelling on insect bites. If you plan on going hiking, try making this simple concoction for poison ivy and pack it in your backpack: Mix equal amounts of vinegar, buttermilk and salt and apply with a cotton ball to help dry and speed healing.

This remedy may sound strange, but it's known to work. Before going to bed, break open a capsule of vitamin E and rub it on your face. Then the next night, do the same thing with a vitamin A capsule and wash it off in the morning, so that your face is no longer oily. Be sure to use an old pillowcase you can mess up. It may sound like the last thing you'd want to put on your face, but doing so apparently lessens the requirement for your skin to make its own additional oil.

Also try using a mild exfoliation made of almond meal, honey, yogurt and a few drops of lavender and tea tree essential oil. The enzymes in each ingredient will gently cleanse the skin and help to soften and loosen blocked pores.

Try eating carrots, tomatoes and green, leafy vegetables to get vitamin A, which is important for skin growth and repair.

Nothing can sideline your social life faster than a nasty cold sore. If nothing you've tried works, try this natural remedy. Apply tea tree oil directly to the area as soon as you feel that "tingling" sensation. Or try mixing a blend of bergamot, eucalyptus and tea tree oil into a teaspoon of pure alcohol and dab onto affected area. If the cold sore blisters, then apply lavender oil directly.

Having enlarged pores can be almost as annoying as having acne-prone skin. Blame it on the natural aging process and/or oily skin that have been over-dried, forcing dead skin cells to harden and stretch in the pores. To shrink pores, try blending camphor, sage and thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use this as a compress or mix in with your favorite moisturizer and apply it to the enlarged pores. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels.

If your skin problems persist or worsen, you should see a dermatologist or a holistic practitioner for help.

Why You Lose Your Youthful Skin Appearance

If you want to keep your youthful skin appearance, you need to know why your skin starts to change as you age. I have listed some of the most important things that affect skin appearance and some of the ways to prevent the skin from aging too fast. The sooner you start applying these ideas the longer you will keep your youthful appearance.

As you age here are some of the changes that will occur:

· Your top skin layer, epidermis, becomes thinner and more fragile

· Your skin becomes drier, since oil glands produce less oil

· The number of blood vessels decreases in your face and throughout your body. Blood brings nutrients to your skin cells, giving your skin a healthy and rosy look

· Less skin cells are repaired or replace quickly

· The sun and pollution start to show their effects on your skin by breaking down collagen and elastin, which give your skin its elasticity

· Your good or bad diet starts to show it effects on your skin. Your bad diet did not provide the nutrients your skin needed to be flexibly, hydrated, oxygenated, and healthy

· The un-healthy skin products you have been using start to show their bad effects on your skin.

Now, you can see that skin beauty is dependent on what kind of food you eat, how you have exposed yourself to the sun and pollution, and what chemicals your facial and skin products have. Excessive exposure to the sun and pollution will damage your skin and accelerate its aging appearance - age spots, blotches, wrinkles, roughness, sagging.

Here are some things you can do to slow down the aging skin.

· Use sunscreen every day - You can slow down wrinkle formation and even prevent it, if you use sunscreen early in your life. Use sunscreen that contains Zinc Oxide. It is better then those that have Titanium Dioxide. Daily, use a broadband SPF 15 and for heavy out door sun activities use SPF 30. If you wear makeup, put your sunscreen on first

· On hot days and even when it is overcast use your sunscreen and a hat. Stay in the shade when possible

· Keep away from highly polluted areas and don't smoke. Smoking changes the elasticity of the skin fibers leading to rough and wrinkled skin

· Get enough sleep. Your skin repairs itself when you sleep

· When you sleep, don't sleep with you face into the pillow

· Drink plenty of water. Your skin loses water during hot days and needs plenty of water to keep hydrated. Water is found in raw fruits and vegetables. Sodas, sugar drinks, tea, (except herbal teas) coffee, or milk are not water. Rotate between buying and drinking Reverse Osmosis and Distilled water

· Minimize drinking alcohol. Alcohol can lead to spider veins and broken capillaries. It also causes your skin to become dehydrated

· Eat more fruits and vegetables. They provide plenty of antioxidants, which protect you from sun and pollution damage

· Take an antioxidant supplement, which should include up to 2000 mg of vitamin C. You may have to take the Vitamin C separate

Start using these ideas and you will see improvement on your skin. This improvement may take a few months to appear on your skin. Be patient and persistent and you will be rewarded with good skin appearance.

Treatment For Dyshidrotic Eczema - Get to Know All the Facts

Dyshidrotic eczema or Dyshidrosis is a kind of eczema which primarily affects hands or feet in the form of blisters. Such blisters are thick and may cause itching or pain. They however are not contagious but the appearance may cause some emotional distress especially when interacting with others.

Causes of Dyshidrotic Eczema

Although the main cause of dyshidrotic eczema is not known, some factors like allergy, fungal infections, stress, chemical irritants and diet are believed to trigger this condition. It is supposed to be seasonal though in some cases it is found to be recurring and chronic.

Treatment for Dyshidrotic Eczema

Dyshidrotic Eczema can be treated in many ways. The following are known to provide relief for those suffering from dyshidrotic eczema:

Topical steroids which does provide some relief to this condition. But they cannot be used on a long term basis because of its adverse side effects over a prolonged usage such as thinning of the skin.

Diluted solutions of Hydrogen peroxide and Potassium Permanganate are also sometimes used for treating this type of eczema. But their use may be limited because of the burning and pain they cause even in diluted form which is hard to withstand.

Emollients and ointments with zinc are also quite useful in treating dyshidrotic eczema.

Avoiding Nickel by ensuring nickel free diets and other known factors which are known to trigger this condition is also another way of dealing with dyshidrotic eczema.

Natural treatments like salt soaks and white vinegar soaks are also used which provides relief to those suffering from dyshidrotic eczema.

Eczema Skin Symptoms

Eczema skin symptoms are as follows:

1) Redness of skin

Redness (or erythema) appears in the form of smaller or larger patches on predilection areas - folding parts of knees and elbows, groins, face, but they also can appear on any other part of the body. The skin is dry and itchy, and can bleed when scratched.

2) Blisters or bumps on skin

Little blisters, or bigger bumps, can appear on eczema skin patches. Sometimes they are filled with liquid that is oozing out of them when they are scratched, but they could also be filled with pus if bacterial infection took place.

3) Injuries from scratching

These injuries are very common and are usually seen at the early stage of the disease. Characteristic of eczema is that the skin is very itchy and that's why injuries from scratching are illness-specific sign. Patients find it very difficult to stop from scratching and by doing this the disease aggravates and spreads.

4) Lines

Lines (or lichenification) are forming at the later stages of eczema, when the skin lose its elasticity and becomes hard. Skin tends to have a leathery shine.

Eczema skin symptoms are mostly caused by allergens. The usual ones are:

* food allergens (dairy products, acidic fruit, wheat products, eggs)

* pollen

* dandruff

* pet hair

* grass and flowers

* any other allergen, especially the ones that are hereditary (if one or both parents had some kind of allergy, like hay fever or pollen allergy, it is more likely that their children will have some sort of allergy manifestation sooner or later)

Treatment of eczema skin symptoms, as well as the disease itself, are not so easy by the use of over-the-counter products. Today's medicine tries not to cure the illness, but rather to treat the symptoms, which of course does not end the perpetual reoccurring of eczema. Sometimes the disease is seasonal (it appears when the seasons are changing - early winter and summer), but in other cases it is constantly present in one form or the other. Either way, steroid pills and creams, and moisturizing lotions are the best we can expect when we go to the doctor complaining about eczema skin symptoms.

Unfortunately, modern medicine has completely neglected Nature as a potential resource for treating eczema. There are many people who have found their relief using only natural remedies. Not only that eczema symptoms disappear, but the disease itself is often never seen again.

Practical Beauty & Skin Care Regimen

There are lots of skin care tips to be found on the internet and in magazines. The problem is that most of these tips are somewhat unachievable.

Let's face it - how likely are you to go through a six step skin care regimen every day? While this would be optimal, most of us have busy lives that require lots of our time. Simply put, we just don't have enough hours in the day to care for skin as some skin care experts would like us to. Still, there are some simple tips that you can do every day...and they won't take up a lot of your energy.

The first practical skin care tip is: don't smoke. Simple enough, right? Smoking reduces the amount of circulation within your skin. This is the main reason why smokers often give off a dull appearance. When you smoke, poison and oxidants are being pumped into your skin causing your skin to choke. If you smoke, make every possible effort to quite - no amount of skin care products will stop your skin from aging if you smoke.

Next, make sure to get lots of sleep. Try not to stay up too late at night. If you can, go to bed early and rest properly. Your body needs a lot of sleep to recuperate from a long day. Sleep deprivation can easily cause the skin to look tired, dark, and yellowed. There are some skin care products that can help skin to look rejuvenated after a sleepless night, but a lack of sleep can speed up the aging process.

This next tip is for all the women out there: ladies - make sure that you are applying clean makeup. Change those makeup sponges weekly; throw out old makeup; and don't use any makeup that looks dirty or has been neglected. Makeup should only last from 6 to 12 months. After that time period has passed, it's time to throw your makeup away, and start from scratch. Likewise, don't fall prey to every item of makeup under the sun.

If you walk by a makeup counter, resist the urge to ask a sales girl what you need to purchase. Chances are, you will wind up with a bag full of makeup...and more than two thousand different chemicals that you will slather onto your skin. If you are going to use makeup, use a minimal amount - and make sure to purchase products that include lots of natural ingredients; sunblock; and moisturizer.

When it comes to aging, nothing ages skin quicker than: lack of sleep; smoking, and old makeup. Additionally, applying the right skin care products is crucial to the state of your healthy skin. Products that contain lots of chemicals should be avoided, while products that are made from natural resources should be sought. This might seem difficult, but it is the one sure way to prevent your skin from aging.

Stick to the practical advice listed above. All of these things will help to fight off the signs of aging effectively. Nothing ages your skin quicker than lack of proper care. While you might not have time to work on your skin for hours every day, you can certainly practice proper skin care habits.

Do Collagen Pills Help Improve Your Skin?

Just imagine if you could solve all your skin problems simply by taking a pill. Wouldn't that be a huge relief?

Unfortunately, life is not always that easy, especially when it comes to taking collagen pills. Research shows collagen pills do not help improve skin in any way--no scientific evidence backs them up. So taking them with the desire to improve skin would be a waste of time and money.

However, don't get discouraged just yet. There are ways of building collagen naturally.

First, let's discuss why collagen pills don't work. You see, collagen is a very complex protein, and its complex structure can not be replaced merely by taking collagen pills. In essence, collagen you take in pills is not processed in your body in the same manner that occurs with naturally produced collagen.

You also might have heard of skin creams and lotions that contain collagen as their primary ingredient. The problem with these products is that the collagen molecules themselves are too big to be absorbed through the skin. The collagen will simply remain on the surface and will not interact with nor improve the quality of your skin.

The skin care industry makes millions of dollars on consumers every year who are aware of the information you just read. The plain (but unpleasant ) fact is, it's more cost efficient to promote a product while making sacrifices in research and development expenses.

So what are the best ways for building collagen?

First and foremost, when it comes to building collagen, stay away from the collagen pills and collagen containing skin creams. Instead, it's essential that your body to stimulate its own collagen naturally. As we age, our collagen reserves gradually decrease. It is important to maintain and/or increase these levels to reduce the negative effects of aging.

Cynergy TK

Now, when it comes to finding an effective ingredient that helps both stimulate collagen and elastin, Cynergy TK has been proven to be very effective. It is not well-known in North America and Europe, but it contains a natural form of functional Keratin, found in New Zealand. Interestingly, this substance is derived from the wool of special types of New Zealand sheep.

Clinical studies have proven that Cynergy TK not only promotes new growth of collagen and elastin, but also aids with the formation of new cells.

Cynergy TK and functional Keratin can be found in truly effective skin care products, which help to build collagen, and can reduce wrinkles, sags, and even those dreaded aging spots. Thanks to the Internet, you can learn more about these products with a simple click of your mouse.

Review of SunSplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) Systems

If you are like me, a deep tan is quite appealing. However, the sun exposure that is required to achieve that beautiful tan is far from appealing. I will add to that by saying that some exposure to the sun is important to ensure that your body receives the right amount of Vitamin D, and that your Melatonin levels fluctuate appropriately. Apart from spurts of sun exposure, it is not safe for your skin to receive much more than this. If it does, you will face the complication of burning, and even serious problems like skin cancer. Here, I will review a product that I used to achieve a natural looking tan by not having to expose myself to dangerous levels of sun exposure - SunSplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) Systems.

It all started when a friend of mine visited a local tanning salon. The results that she achieved were remarkable. Her reasoning for pursuing this method of tanning was that she was too busy to spend hours in the sun in order to get the tan that she had wanted for so many years. She then suggested to me that I participate in tanning bed exposure to achieve the tan I had always dreamed of. You see, I work from home and I educate both of my active boys from home. My husband also worked from home, but we would often find ourselves scraping the barrel for enough time to do all of the things that we had to do on a day to day basis - much less time to visit a tanning salon.

My husband and I worked it out and he stated that he would take care of things if this is what I wanted to do, but to be careful. I was so excited! That is until I took the time to research tanning beds. I quickly learned that this form of tanning provides no health benefits, and over time, it can actually damage your organs and other internal components of the body! Needless to say, I quickly changed my mind on this little experiment and never made it to the tanning salon. My interest was peaked, however, and I decided that I should take the time to determine if there were any other types of safe alternatives to tanning beds. This is when I ran across a website that sold the SunSplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) Systems.

Now, with this tanning method, I discovered that it produces nearly the same amount of sunlight that the actual sun produces, which meant that it also helped the body receive a sufficient amount of Vitamin D. Melatonin levels could also be regulated by using this tanning system which includes approximately eight different lights. So, basically, this was much safer than standard tanning beds in that it uses reflective lighting technology to deliver the rays that help tan the skin and provide nutrients to the body! I could not believe it.

Now, after just a couple of months of using the SunSplash Tanning and D Lite (No Tan) Systems, I sport a luxurious tan. In addition to this, I look and feel better all the way around. I highly recommend this system to anyone who desires the same!

De-Stressing Your Skin For a Younger Look

Want to know how reducing stress can make you look younger?

While some stress is a good thing, too much stress is definitely not, and can have seriously negative consequences for your health. But one of the most telling signs that you have too much stress in your life is that your skin has begun to age prematurely.

Excessive stress can cause a host of skin problems, from a complexion which is too dull, too dry, or too oily, to the appearance of those dreaded fine lines and wrinkles. If you have any of these problems on a chronic basis, it may be time to examine your lifestyle and eliminate whatever stresses you can.

While you may handle stress quite well mentally, you really have no control over what it does to your physiological processes. Your body will automatically produce elevated levels of adrenaline when you are under stress, because adrenaline is what prepares you for the fight-or-flight response. Your heart rate will increase, as will your respiration and metabolism. All of those responses are necessary in order for you to escape danger.

Your stress response is part of your body's survival mechanism, and is a great thing to have unless it is being triggered unnecessarily. You can avoid the negative effects of having your stress response over stimulated by learning various relaxation techniques, including Yoga and meditation. An out-of-control stress response will age your from the inside out!

How can too much stress harm your skin?

1. All that extra adrenaline will cause the blood to flow away from the capillaries which feed your skin, so that it can provide oxygen and nutrients to the muscles you need to fight or flee from the threat. Chronic stress will mean that your skin becomes undernourished and develops a washed-out appearance.

2. If you are feeling any sort of strong emotion, whether it be anger, fear, sadness, or excitement, your body will respond with a flood of hormones and enzymes which tell your skin to gear up its production of sebum, the oily substance which can clog your pores and lead to a breakout of pimples.

3. Ongoing stress will cause chronic muscular tension, further inhibiting blood circulation to the skin, and allowing toxins to accumulate in the skin tissues so that they age prematurely.

Because of this, it is more difficult for the healthy new layers of skin cells to work their way to the surface, when the older dead cells are not sloughed away as quickly as usual. You will end up with dull lifeless complexion which adds years to your appearance.

4. Continuing stress increases your body's production of cortisol, which weakens the immune system and removes your skin's defenses against environmental toxins. You will end up with a dead, grayish, and old complexion.

Medicinal Herbs For Skin - Ancient Remedies For Modern Problems

Have you ever noticed that the more modern our society becomes, the more we look back to the wisdom of earlier times to find answers to our problems? Skin care is a perfect example. This trend toward looking back to ancient remedies can be seen in the rising demand for herbal skin care products. It is becoming less and less acceptable to use facials and creams made from synthetic chemicals. Consumers want to treat their problem skin in the healthiest, most natural way possible.

It only stands to reason that using medicinal herbs for skin would be an excellent method for repairing the skin and maintaining its beauty. Ancient knowledge of the healing properties of herbs meant using them in medicines to treat illnesses. Also, herbs have always been used in cooking to make food more healthful. Using herbal skin care products means, in essence, feeding your skin to make it healthy. Remedies that are truly healing treat the skin from the inside out.

Cleansing the face in ancient times involved the use of herbs and natural substances to clean, moisturize and protect the skin. Gentle exfoliation was achieved by combining natural substances like corn meal, dried lavender and rose petals to slough off dead skin while leaving the face soft, smooth and smelling nice.

Today, you can find herbal skin care products that cleanse and exfoliate the skin with natural, active ingredients like Kaolin, an extract from a special New Zealand clay, which absorbs oil and gently pulls out grime from your skin. Boosting the cleansing effects comes from adding Bentone Gel, another special type of clay, that's mixed with emollients. Fragrances are omitted since they are usually created with potentially harmful chemicals.

Natural moisturizers, like jojoba oil, used for centuries by native Americans, along with avocado and macadamia nut oil, soften and protect with natural properties that don't irritate or inflame the skin.

Facial masks aren't anything new, either. Our female ancestors made healing masks from oat meal, egg white and honey. Following that natural prescription, modern, herbal-based masks include healing ingredients like Manuka Honey, made from the manuka bush, and Allantoin, a natural compound found in some herbs, that helps soothe and reduce inflammation.

Medicinal herbs for skin have been around for thousands of years. In our modern times, it's fortunate that you can take advantage of these ancient remedies through the convenience of herbal skin care products. Unlike your ancestors, who gathered herbs and formulated their own facial treatments, nowadays all you have to do is read a label to ensure that the product you're buying contains the natural, healing substances that have stood the test of time.

Finding an Effective Collagen Mask - Don't Be Misled

It seems incredible to me the claims companies make about their products such as a collagen mask. If you were to believe everything that you read, you would think that by using skin creams and lotions that contain collagen, you will take decades off you appearance. Well, I'm here to tell you that no matter if you use a collagen mask or collagen gel remedy, it won't help remove the damage the years have done to your skin.

Why can I say this with such confidence? Because science has proven it. Science has shown that the collagen molecule is too large to be absorbed into your skin, whether its in a collagen mask, collagen gel remedy, or any other form of skin care product. No matter how much collagen you apply to the surface of your skin, it will not absorb and become a part of the skin.

The general public is unaware of this fact, and the skin cream manufacturers are taking advantage of their ignorance. You have probably read the claims. They actually state that their products include collagen knowing that the public will turn to their products to help with aging skin.

The truth is, the only way to raise collagen levels in the skin is to nourish it with proteins that will support its own production of collagen. Collagen and elastin are both responsible for keeping our skin firm and pliable. As we age the levels of these two components of the skin decrease, leading to loose and wrinkled skin.

When we apply skin creams and lotions that feed the skin with certain proteins, you will benefit in ways a collagen mask or collagen gel remedy cannot provide. The quality of your skin will be renewed as your skin fills out and wrinkles diminish.

How can this be possible. There are several ingredients that work together to support collagen production better than a collagen mask can. The first one is an ingredient called Cynergy TK. This ingredient is rich in protein that comes from lambs wool. As it is absorbed into the skin, it works to increase your skin's production of collagen and elastin.

Another incredibly powerful ingredient comes from a Japanese sea kelp called wakame. Wakame is very rich in vitamins and minerals that enhance skin health. It is believed by many that this kelp is in large part responsible for the long life spans of the Japanese people.

One last essential ingredient for healthy skin is coenzyme Q10. The nano emulsion form of this antioxidant is the most effective to use in skin care products. Co Q10 is well known of its ability to support the health of the body. However few companies have been able to convert it into a skin cream that really works.

There you have it. These three ingredients and others that I discuss on my website work together to effectively remove wrinkles and help return that healthy look again. Next time you think of using a collagen mask or collagen gel remedy, remember that buying products that include collagen as an ingredient is a waste of money. Instead look to smaller companies that put their efforts into developing more effective products. You'll be glad you did.

Solving Embarrassing Skin Problems - Dry Skin and Bagging Under the Eyes

Is dry skin, and in particular dry skin beneath your eyes, driving you nuts? Are you embarrassed to meet the gaze of people you're talking to because of dry skin around eyes and other areas of your face? Or eye puffiness, or bags, itchiness or wrinkling around the eyes?

This article tackles a sensitive issue for many women, dry skin beneath your eyes, and on other areas of your face.

Dry skin, and in particular dry skin on your face and beneath and around your eyes, isn't an insurmountable problem, though it's only recently that there have really been skin care products sufficiently effective to tackle the dry skin.

Dry skin, and the cracking, peeling, itchiness, redness and swelling that can go with it, is a problem that confronts so many people. Just like the rest of our body, our skin needs moisture to survive and to be healthy, and if it has less moisture than it needs it can get dry.

However skin moisture isn't quite so easily addressed. Drinking water won't replace skin moisture, though of course it's always better to make sure that you drink enough water. And it really does very little just wetting your skin, plain water dries out too easily.

Skin has it's own mechanism to protect it's moisture content. It's complicated, but healthy skin can prevent moisture loss beyond a certain point, and so your skin does not dehydrate.

But skin damage, from multiple sources including sunburn, and aging, can cause it to lose some of it's natural ability to protect itself against dehydration, and if it loses too much moisture then the result is dry skin.

So to reduce the problem you don't need to add moisture as much as repair the skin's ability to stop dehydrating.

And that's not all. Along with dry skin beneath eyes, many women, and men, also suffer from puffy and baggy skin under and around the eyes. This can be caused, ironically, by a build up of fluid beneath the skin. This in turn is caused by poor fluid drainage and loss of elasticity in the skin from, amongst other things, aging.

So what do you do if you have dry skin beneath your eyes, and dry skin around eyes and mouth?

There is a wonderful substance called Eyeliss, which has been available for some years, which addresses this problem. It has been used by Hollywood stars to tackle these types of problems with dry skin and bagging and puffiness around the eyes, but it has always been extremely expensive and so available to some only.

One small niche skin care company has now taken Eyeliss and formulated a total eye care and skin care product that used Eyeliss as an essential ingredient, but also combines it with a number of other highly successful ingredients shown by research to be excellent in helping skin tackle the signs and symptoms of aging. It makes the worlds best skin care products

This has been formulated into an eye contact gel that does wonders for tackling problems with dry skin beneath eyes and other areas of the face. It uses a total of ten ingredients, including Eyeliss, to make the worlds best skincare product for tackling dry skin, bagging, puffiness and wrinkles around the eyes.

Studies show that the effects can be seen in less than 4 weeks.

Now of course you're thinking that it has to be too expensive for you aren't you?

Surprisingly it isn't, because the product is made by a company that doesn't put money into marketing. Unlike the big brands it puts it's money into product development, and therefore produces the worlds best skin care products and anti aging products, at an affordable price.

Then offers a money back guarantee so that people can try their products risk free, to find out for themselves how well they work.

But because they don't put money into marketing, and so don't advertise on TV, chances are you haven't heard of them.

But if you want to tackle problems like dry skin around the eyes, eye puffiness, bagging and wrinkling around the eyes, you need to know about them. With a money back guarantee you've got nothing to lose except your dry skin.

Top Five Reasons to Use an Eye Cream to Eliminate Dark Eye Circles

For the many women who awake each morning to that smug frown in the mirror when they immediately notice that they have dark circles under the eyes, there is much reason to want to eliminate them. Nobody wants to have to go about their day with raccoon eyes calling them out of any crowd, be it small or big. And for certain, most women are constantly trying to look and feel their best each day, and dark eye circles are not something that aids in that process. Rather, dark eye circles can make us look stressed, tired, anxious, and angry. So what follows are the top five reasons to eliminate dark eye circles.

1. Dark eye circles make us look tired, anxious, stressed and even angry; they can be misleading to those who see and can misrepresent our emotions.
2. Dull skin around the eyes can make us both look and feel older.
3. Nobody wants to walk around with two black eyes, looking and feeling like they have not slept in days, even when they are fully rested.
4. Many people associated their own mental traumas with how they think about themselves. If we are unhappy with our appearances, it can affect our greater happiness.
5. There are now proven and effective eye creams that can eliminate dark eye circles in matter of weeks, no more reason to be buggered by them.

While there are good number of reasons why we would want to get rid of dark eye circles, unfortunately there are not that many safe and effective products that can aid us in this quest for skin elegance. There are some newer products and eye creams on the market, like Eyevive, that can do the trick nicely. Eye creams like Eyevive use micro circulation technology to increase the levels of drainage around the eyes, hydrate the skin and increase the production of collagen; naturally. If you are trying to get rid of dark eye circles, your best bet may be to forgo expensive shots and look towards a safer and more natural solution like an effective eye cream.

Eczema and How to Help It!

Does anyone in your family suffer from dry skin, psoriasis or eczema? It is now possible that they do not have to suffer anymore. You may have tried many creams and prescriptions to help heal the skin, yet they do not work, or are only a temporary fix. Now there is a cream that is proven to help and relieve eczema without the fillers. This lotion is proven to be seven times more effective in moisture absorption.

There are many reasons for eczema. Eczema may be genetic or due to food allergies and environmental factors. The child may also have asthma or allergic rhinitis. Allergies may include milk or eggs, wool, detergent or additives, peanuts or allergies to cats and dogs.

Managing a child with eczema should include seeing a doctor to confirm a diagnosis. Once you find out what the child may be allergic to I highly recommend avoiding it. A doctor may suggest emulsifying ointment, the weakest strength of steroid application, antihistamine, and topical or oral antibiotics.

Generally, children between the ages of two and five can recover, but in some cases mild eczema will continue into adulthood.

If you would like to learn more about how to help someone suffering from eczema or other related conditions, please feel free to contact me. I've spoken with moms that have tried for years to find relief for their child. As a last resort, they tried our products and the symptoms were better within two to three days. I mentioned this lotion to a friend of mine many times, because her daughter suffered from terrible eczema on her face. My friend finally agreed to try it for her daughter and her skin improved within days of using the product.

If interested you can get free products and try this lotion for free.

Find Out What's Missing From the Best Facial Cleansers

The best facial cleansers can often be ones that the majority of skin care users have hardly heard about. Let's just take a moment to look at the mindset that says that the more expensive brands are necessarily the best. Many of these products have had a lot of marketing dollars thrown at them, often celebrity endorsed to boost the products mass appeal and create demand.

Quite rightly, what hope have the smaller producers of fine, quality facial cleansers got when faced with that type of competition. Understandably there is very little they can do except sing their own praises as far as how good they are because of their commitment to formulating and producing a much better product. They do this by using naturally derived ingredients that give the end user a result that is streets ahead of most other inferior but often more expensive brands.

Let's briefly talk about what the best facial cleansers should contain, so that next time you are ready to purchase one you can see for yourselves. One in particular is a real favorite of mine that has worked well for me in the past is known as Cynergy TK.

It boasts some impressive anti aging properties and helps our body produce more collagen, which if you know something about skin is what gives it strength and elasticity. Once we start getting older we naturally produce less and one rather unwelcome result of all that is wrinkles.

I started to use a hypoallergenic facial cleanser which contained Cynergy TK and managed to achieve some impressive results. I had researched the whole subject for a short while, eventually found a supplier and bought their Deep Active Cleansing Mask product.

So, using such a fine product will I'm sure give your facial skin a boost it deserves every time you use it.

Face Moisturizer - How it Enhances a Skincare Program

A face moisturizer is a part of any good skincare treatment. Any quality skincare cream always serves in part as a face moisturizer. It protects, soothes, and helps to retain moisture and prevent the face from getting dry and irritated.

But a product designed specifically as a face moisturizer can be a great addition to a skincare program.

A good facial mask helps to rebuild skin and reduce wrinkles in one of two ways: deep face moisturizing or deep cleaning. I'll describe the two types of facial mask designed for these two different purposes -- yet each is a wonderful face moisturizer.

The vital factor is, of course, the ingredients.

A cleansing mask only needs to be used twice a month. Leave the mask on your face for about 30 minutes, then rinse it off.

Here are some of the top ingredients to look for:

Kaolin, a purified clay which absorbs oil and gently pulls out grime from your skin. Kaolin's mildly drying and disinfectant properties also help heal inflammation and blemishes.

Bentone gel improves the cleansing effectiveness of kaolin and leaves the skin feeling soft and silky.

Macadamia oil is easily absorbed into the skin and is proven to protect the skin cells from aging;

Shea Butter is a natural moisturizer and an emollient, which softens and soothes skin, making sure the mask doesn't dry the skin -- quite the opposite, in fact.

Allantoin, a natural compound in some herbs, has also been scientifically proven to stimulate skin growth and help restore damaged skin -- and it has the wonderful quality of increasing the water content of skin tissue

By the way, I recommend no green goops of any kind! An excellent cleansing mask can be a natural skin color when applied, and be easily absorbed, effectively disappearing as it soaks into your skin.

After 30 minutes you wipe off any excess, and your skin will feel great.

That's the cleansing mask, and you can see it serves as a good face moisturizer. Every other week, you can alternate with another type of facial mask:

A deep hydrating mask is the perfect face moisturizer.

(Hydrating is simply another word for moisturizing.)

A quality deep hydrating mask blends plant oils, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids and lipids.
These nutirients work together, giving the skin what it needs to help regenerate itself.

An outstanding nutrient for a face moisture is a trademarked ingredient called Rigin, which has been shown in clinical trials to deeply hydrate the skin around the face and neck, and make it firmer and softer.

A two-week test of Rigin applied in a gel showed a 24% improvement in skin hydration.

There you have the combination. Two different facial masks, designed for different purposes, but both complementing each other to give you an outstanding face moisturizer.

Check my website for suggestions for several skincare creams and the complementary facial masks I've mentioned, all of them effective as a face moisturizer.

Discover More About Antioxidants Skin Care Products

Ever wonder how to find good antioxidants skin care products? Everyone has heard that antioxidants are good to have and that they protect you from free radicals. Not everyone understands what works well to makes good antioxidants skin care products.

Oxidation is required for life but the oxidation process also produces free radicals which can then produce more free radicals in a chain reaction. This chain reaction of free radical can lead to cell damage. Cell damage caused by free radicals in the body can weaken the immune system, speed up the aging process, and is linked to cancer and heart disease.

Antioxidants stop the free radicals chain reaction by binding with the free radicals neutralizing them. This binding not only prevents the cell damage but can help the body in repairing cell damage from previous free radical exposure. Excellent sources of antioxidants are dark green leafy vegetables, fruits, soy, tea, and even coffee.

As it turns out many plants and animals create or maintain many type of antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C and vitamin E. While glutathione is produced by the human body, other antioxidants are used by the body and can have a beneficial health affects as well as benefits for good skin health and the healing of the skin.

Vitamin E is often used as a inexpensive antioxidant in many antioxidants skin care products due to the belief that vitamin E is good for the skin. Topical use of vitamin E is claimed by some manufacturers to promote healing and help in the reduction of scaring, but the evidence for this is weak and considered by some as poor research producing questionable results.

Another source for free radicals is environmental. Some of the causes of free radicals in the skin is air pollution and the exposure to too much sunlight. The damage caused by these antioxidants can increase the breakdown of collagen. Collagen is a protein that effects the firmness of the skin. It is the breakdown of this protein that causes the skin to wrinkle and age.

Popular antioxidants found in skincare products other than vitamin E include green tea and grape seed extracts. Inflammation of the skin can be helped with grape seed extract. Many antioxidants skin care products use a combination of these natural antioxidants to promote good skin health and help in the healing of the skin.

Now that you know this and have a better idea what antioxidants are used for and their potential benefits you can look for them in your skin care products and decide for yourself.

What is Vitiligo?

Vitiligo or leukoderma is a skin condition characterized by the appearance of white patches or blotches on the skin that can appear on any part of the body; this is as a result of the death of the (melanocytes) cells that produce our skin pigment (Melanin). The condition can vary from just one or two white spots to large areas of completely de-pigmented skin. When the melanocytes die, the cells that form the skin appear white, and this causes what is now known as Vitiligo.

The disease is more common in people who have a family history of certain auto immune diseases such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism and Addison's disease. For some people, although not for everyone, the de-colorization is progressive in that what may start out as a little white blemish on the skin, over time can enlarge to cover many inches or whole body parts, particularly the hands and feet, to eventually give the appearance of wearing white socks or gloves. The patches often occur symmetrically across both sides on the body, at the same time.

In some cases, physical injury to an area of skin seems to cause new outbreaks .Doctors have noted that wounds that form scabs, when the wound heals, the new skin will be de-pigmented. Physician's state Vitiligo may also be stress related, excess stress which can affect the immune system, leading the body to react, the immune system erroneously perceives the skin pigment as a threat and starts to attack it.

Vitiligo on the head may affect the color of the hair, though not always, leaving white patches or streaks. It will similarly affect body and facial hair. As with all auto immune diseases Vitiligo is not contagious, it affects only 1% to 2% of the population. There are treatments that can impair, some what the spread of the disease, or it can be disguised with medicated makeup. Darker skinned people, on whom the problem is significantly more noticeable, often opt for the removal of all skin color entirely to make the contrast less obvious, one such person is Michael Jackson. At present unfortunately there is really no cure for the condition.

What Your Skin Craves

Did you know that your skin is a living thing? As a living thing, your skin craves certain things to keep it healthy and vital. In order to avoid losing your skin's natural collagen , make sure to feed it the right things...

So, what does skin crave? Aside from eight glasses of water per day, skin needs to be properly moisturized; adequately cleansed; and protected from harsh elements. Let's begin with the type of moisture that skin needs.

Far too many people skip the moisturizing step when it comes to their daily health and beauty facial routine. Instead, most people simply wash their face, and then move on with their day. Neglecting to provide your skin with proper moisturizer is a lot like depriving your body of water ...it just can't be done.

The moisturizing cream that you purchase should really be given a lot of thought. These creams should not contain any amount of alcohol, they should not be filled with toxic chemicals, and they should not include a list of numerous ingredients that you cannot pronounce.

Instead, a great moisturizer should be made from ingredients that are found within nature. These ingredients should not be mixed with any other chemical fillers, and they should include only natural items. Now, let's move on to the proper cleanser for your skin.

As you age, your skin will begin to lose essential collagen. Collagen is an important part of keeping your skin healthy and youthful . Washing your face with the wrong cleanser can strip away essential oils that are within your skin causing the collagen loss process to increase rapidly.

As with a proper moisturizer, the right kind of cleanser should be natural. Chemically compounded cleansers are quite popular, though they will not help your skin in the long run. Lastly, let's talk about the need to protect your skin.

If you want to keep that collagen intact and keep your skin tight, make sure to protect it against sun, wind, snow, rain, and any other element out there. How can you do this? Amazingly, a good quality sunblock will do the trick. Even if the winter winds are blowing outside, you must still use sunblock.

Protecting your skin with everything that you have is the best way to keep your skin from aging quickly. Nobody can stop the hands of time completely, but neglecting to take care of your skin will certainly speed those hands up.

The sad truth about skin is that if you don't learn to protect it soon, it will simply begin to slip and fade away. Products that contain natural collagen can help your skin to retain its natural glow well into your later years.

Remember to moisturize, cleanse, and protect your skin with proven, natural skin products every day. Health and beauty go hand in hand, which is why keeping your body and skin healthy is a crucial part of looking young. Don't let your skin's collagen disappear overnight - instead, keep your skin looking great with the right facial products.

All Natural Or All Pretend?

Far too many people believe that an all natural product equates a product that won't damage or harm skin in any way. This line of thinking is not only false, it is also potentially dangerous.

To begin our all natural discussion, let's first talk about aging and anti-aging products that contain other ingredients. If you look closely enough, you will discover that many all natural products also include a number of chemical additives.

While a product may actually contain some type of natural plant base, this does not necessarily mean that the formaldehyde within the product won't harm your skin. So, if you are going to purchase any all natural product, be sure that every last ingredient within the bottle, jar, or spray is, indeed, all natural.

Now, let's talk about those anti-aging and aging products that contain ingredients that truly are all natural Sometimes, a product might have a bit of lavender, rose, or other natural ingredient inside of it. However, this doesn't mean that the product won't irritate your skin or cause some type of breakout.

The best way to approach an all natural product is to test a bit on your skin prior to spreading it all over your face. This way, you can find out if that anti-aging cream actually works...or if it will cause your face to break out in red spots instead.

Sadly, cosmetics and skin care products that aren't all natural can be labelled as natural without much consequence. You see, there aren't really any kinds of government regulations regarding these products. So, a manufacturer can stick a label that says "all natural" on any bottle of any kind.

The only law that skin care products have to adhere to is the law that the product must contain one small percentage of natural materials. Additionally, it should be known that some "natural" ingredients are actually produced in laboratories...not from natural substances at all.

Now that you know all about natural products and products that claim to be natural it's time to look at your collection of aging and anti-aging skin creams and lotions. Take a good gander at that label...what does it say? Are you sure that those ingredients are natural?

Of course, some people don't care whether or not their skin care products are natural. These people are playing a dangerous game when it comes to their skin. Sure, there are no noticeable side effects right now, but what will happen five years from now if you keep using the same product?

If you think about it, using a product that is truly natural makes a lot of sense. Thing that are found within nature are naturally good for your skin. Just make sure that those natural ingredients are taken from a true plant source...not some laboratory.

All natural aging and anti-aging products can work true wonders for your skin. These products can enhance skin's elasticity, bring back that youthful appearance, and work to moisturize your skin properly. The only thing that you have to do when purchasing a skin care product is make sure that the product is composed of truly natural ingredients.

How to Use Proactiv Correctly

Many people believe that Proactiv doesn't really work. The problem is, these are the same people that haven't tried the product or they simply didn't use it correctly when they did. Proactiv really does work, you just have to be consistent and you also have to know how to apply it correctly.

What is your skin type?

If you're a Proactiv user you will want to firstly determine your skin type. Do you have dry, normal, or oily skin?

If you have dry skin you should use Proactiv once a day.
If you have normal skin you should use Proactiv once or twice a day.
If you have oily skin you should use Proactiv twice a day.

Once you have the above determined, you are really ready to use Proactiv.

How to apply Proactiv

Applying Proactiv is pretty simple and all you really have to do is follow the three step routine.

1. Splash your face with warm (not hot) water.
2. Put a dime-sized amount of the first step, renewing cleanser onto your pointer and middle finger.
3. Gently massage the beaded lotion onto and around your entire face.
4. Once the renewing cleanser is applied wash it of with 4 to 5 splashes of warm water.
5. With a clean towel, pat your face dry. (don't scrub)
6. Now, put some of the green revitalizing toner onto a pad.
7. Wipe the pad gently around your face.
8. Allow your face to dry.
9. Place two dime-sized amounts of lotion onto your pointer and middle finger.
10. Gently massage the lotion around your face.
11. Allow the repairing lotion to dry onto your face.
12. COMPLETED! You just applied Proactiv to your face.

Continue to consistently do this depending on your skin type and you begin to notice clearer skin. Remember, if your skin worsens at first, this is normal. Continue the process and it will get better.

More Acne Tips

While you're using Proactiv you'll find these tips really helpful.

1. Never wash your face more than two times in one day.
2. Even if you work out mid day, don't wash your face. Simply pat it dry with a clean towel.
3. Your face should only touch water two times a day. No exceptions.
4. Be sure to always moisturize your face after you get out of the shower.

How to Discover the Most Advanced Wrinkle Free Skin Care

The most advanced wrinkle free skin care is also the safest and most natural. There are a number of wrinkle face creams on the market that claim to be safe, natural and effective. Don't take their claims at face value. Look for research to back them up.

Clinical studies are expensive and most companies won't pay for them. They would rather spend their dollars on advertising and marketing. The company that came up with the best wrinkle free skin care system can only be described as unique.

Do you think of skincare products as healthcare products? At one time, I did not. I am something of a "health-nut", but, for most of my life, I literally ignored my skin's health. I didn't start caring until I started to see those forehead wrinkles that seem to run in my family.

I won't buy wrinkle face creams or anything else, without doing the research and learning about "why" they work. Since I had nowhere else to turn, at the time, I started with the dermatologists.

For the most part, their opinions vary about wrinkle free skin care solutions. What should they contain? What should be avoided? They even have different opinions about what causes wrinkles in the first place.

Is it genetics, habitual facial expressions, thinning of the fatty layer beneath the skin or decreased collagen production? All of these things play a role, but there is one thing that the majority of them agree on; free radical damage is at the root of the problem.

In order for wrinkle face creams to be effective, they must prevent and repair free radical damage. That was something that I learned early on. I also learn that advertising claims are misleading.

The keys to preventing and repairing free radical damage are antioxidant-rich wrinkle face creams. But, artificial preservatives are "technically" antioxidants. There are many products on the market that claim to provide wrinkle free skin care, with antioxidants, when the only antioxidant in the compound is an artificial preservative.

It took a lot of time to do all of the research required. I had to learn what the ingredients on the label were and what they were supposed to do. I must have looked up hundreds of different chemicals on Wikipedia. I can tell you this; every single one of them had safety issues.

The average wrinkle face creams are loaded down with known allergens, toxins and irritants. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I do believe in avoiding health hazards whenever I can. It wasn't just my appearance that was at risk. Some commonly used ingredients are toxic to the central nervous system. Others are known carcinogens.

The pores are tiny openings into the interior of the human body. Anything that you rub on your face or body every day travels through the pores and enters the bloodstream. That's why the ingredients in wrinkle free skin care creams should literally be safe enough to eat. If you think about it, I'm sure you'll agree.

Sea Beauty - Mud and Skin Care

What does mud have to do with skin care? Believe it or not, mud may have some very interesting anti-aging, cleansing, rejuvenating, and exfoliating properties .

Lately, there has been a lot of talk about mud. So many new skin care products are claiming to contain mud from the Dead Sea. In fact, mud from the Dead Sea seems to be the newest skin care craze. Generally, skin care trends fizzle and fade after a number of years, but this one trend may actually hold some very (muddy) water.

Ancient tales tell of Cleopatra's own skin care regimen . Legend has it that Cleopatra used to bathe in the mud that could be found within the Dead Sea. Now, if Cleopatra were not beautiful, none of this would matter. However, the fact of the matter is that men came from all around the globe to gaze upon her beauty.

What does any of this have to do with skin care and mud? Well, Cleopatra knew that mud contained certain invigorating properties that would enhance her skin. Some of the properties that she sought are still relevant today. Mud (especially mud from the Dead Sea) can help with:

Blood circulation Exfoliation Relief from certain skin problems including acne, wrinkles, and eczema Provides natural moisturize Removes dead skin cells revealing healthy, younger, cells
While regular mud will do a lot of the things that the Dead Sea mud will do, this particular type of mud also holds a couple of its own secrets. Dead Sea mud contains a high concentration of salts and minerals. These salts and minerals are the precise things that the skin needs to live and breathe.

Therefore, all of this hype about Dead Sea mud may actually be true. Skin care routines require careful investigation and consideration, which is why this ancient anti-aging, healthy and beauty, rejuvenating recipe for skin care success is so popular today.

Not only is mud good for your skin, it's actually the preferred choice of many great historical beauties. Slathering your skin in mud will produce instant effects that no other skin care product in the world can produce. Those that thought Dead Sea mud was just a trend, are now more than shocked to discover that this trend has been happening for decades.

Mud is great for your skin for the reasons listed above, and it also happens to help with aging as well. Exfoliating with mud every day is the best recipe that the skin care world knows for beauty success. All of the anti-aging products in the world can't compete with the one product that comes from nature itself: mud.

If you happen to be one of the many that is skeptical when it comes to mud, consider the details listed above. Cleopatra was many things to many people, but she remained a great, youthful, beauty to all that loved and loathed her. In fact, you can almost say that Cleopatra had Dead Sea mud to blame for her spirited life.

What is the Highest Rated Wrinkle Cream?

If you're anything like me, you probably personally know many people who buy wrinkle cream. As we age, we may not feel old on the inside, but on the outside it starts to show up: some sagging here, lines and wrinkles there, some age spots on the sides of the face, our skin's texture becoming less smooth.

Millions are spent each year in the pursuit of turning back the hands of time.

This article is going to discuss the notion of the highest rated wrinkle cream.

First, who is doing the rating?

Personally, I use a product that I would give the highest rating, but that's because I've done my due diligence.

But other than a subjective rating, you have to wonder who is doing the rating. Is it a celebrity who is lending their face and name to a product and collecting millions in royalties for it? Perhaps they don't even use the product!

If you want to buy wrinkle cream, my humble suggestion would be to forget about trying to find any so-called highest rated wrinkle cream and just focus on what works and what doesn't work.

Let's start with what doesn't work. Unfortunately, there is a big scam going on right now with wrinkle creams. I know that's a harsh phrase, but here's what I mean by it.

A lot of products contain collagen and elastin. For those who don't know, collagen and elastin are two extremely important skin proteins. In fact, these two are primarily responsible for our nice skin when we are younger: supple, smooth, elastic skin with nice tone and texture.

As these proteins become more scarce as we age, our skin then suffers all of the problems associated with aging skin: it becomes more dry, more uneven, more lined, and the skin itself actually gets thinner, which is why sagging develops.

Now, you may be wondering what's the problem. Well, it's certainly not collagen and elastin itself. The problem is that these two proteins are absolutely worthless when they are applied to the skin directly as they are in a wrinkle cream.

They cannot penetrate into the skin.

When it comes to wrinkle creams, the only useful ones are products that helps your own body produce more of collagen and elastin, which is very different than acturally rubbing them in the skin directly.

Collagen and elastin are very complex structural proteins. Even if you could somehow magically rub them into your skin, there's no way they would be able to assimilate themselves into the complex structure that exists.

So, whatever you do, make sure you avoid these products, which in my opinion are scams.

Instead spend your time, as I do, on researching natural substances that have been clinically tested with human volunteers. I'm talking studies that show certain ingredients that help your body stimulate more production of collagen and elastin naturally, of course.

Or ingredients that have been shown to boost the actual regrowth of entirely new skin cells.

Or ingredients that been shown to dramatically increase skin elasticity or skin hydration (moisture) retention.

I now use products like this daily but I had to do my due diligence first. So, forget about just hoping some overpaid celebrity is going to tell you what the highest rated wrinkle cream is. Find out for yourself.

Can Small Niche Skincare Companies Compete With the Monolithic Multi-nationals?

The legendary Silk Road has a fascinating history dating back to 200bc & many fabled adventurers explored this path in search of spices, herbs, silks, fame & fortune. These days a sojourn along the Silk Road in search of illustrious ingredients to enhance the western way of life takes less than a day & is far less adventurous.

But where to look for something a little bit different from mainstream skin care products, the monolithic factories of the East have sprung up like mushrooms on a damp Autumnal morning, churning out everything from the newest chic & trendy cosmetic product to the latest scientific breakthrough in anti aging skin care cream. They employ the finest scientific minds to baffle the consumer with such impressive stories from the laboratory that it is only natural that you feel compelled to buy.

One thing they often overlook is simplicity & a back to basics approach; this is where small niche skin care companies can often make their mark & many such companies can be found along one part of the legendary Silk Road in what is known as 'The Pearl of the Orient' Penang, Malaysia.

These intrepid small companies are delving deep into their own backyards to seek out herbs & plants that grow in abundance in their very own Malaysian rainforests. The rise in the use of herbs such as Pegaga, Tutup Bumi, Kacip Fatimah, Serapat & Manjakani as ingredients in skin care products is encouraging to the advocates of traditional Malay medical practices.

The role of traditional Malay medicine dates back over 1000 years & even the world health organisation supports the practice as a complement to modern medicine.

The worldwide phenomenon of using natural ingredients has definitely reached Malaysia with a host of small companies experimenting with the use of natural herbs & plant extracts in their products; the sheer wealth of choice at their disposal is quite remarkable.

Such is the impact of this phenomenon that there have been legendary stories of the chemistry graduate scientist calling his grandma for advice on the traditional uses of such plants & herbs in Malaysia. In the true spirit of entrepreneurial enterprise this is producing some very interesting products that are capturing the imagination of many in the Asean region.

It would appear that small niche companies may not be performing on quite the same playing field as the multi-nationals yet but they are definitely alive & kicking & capable of providing a diverse offering that enriches consumers choice on that rich tapestry of informational shopping that is the internet.

So when tradition meets the 21st century it is inevitably typical in the spirit of the traders of old down the Silk Road that many of these small companies are now online & prepared to deliver worldwide.

I Am Glad I Chose a Facelift For My Aging Skin Problem

More and more women and men have opted for a face lift. This procedure has been becoming more and more in vogue as the treatment of choice for an aging skin treatment. This procedure can be called radical, but when lasers, lotions, chemical peels, Botox, and fillers all come up short on results, a face lift might offer the solution as an aging skin treatment. Although many patients of this procedure did not want to go under the knife, having thoughts of a "surgical look" outcome, they will go for it now due to the many advanced techniques being used today. Face lifts have become much less invasive with more natural results. Today, face lifts are looked at as the most effective aging skin treatment available, if affordable. The techniques used depend on the extent of the procedure. For example, there is a simple skin excision which is what the name implies, simple. The doctor may suggest a more complex procedure where skin. Tissue and bones are repositioned.

In the past, face lifts required substantial down time for patients. This was unacceptable by many, due to busy schedules at home and at work. This helped lead to the development of streamline procedure, resulting in shorter recovery time, less trauma, shorter scars, and better results. The aging process begins at birth. As we grow older, the many components that make up our face continue to change. The collagen in our skin, which used to be plentiful as a youth continues to decline causing skin to become less elastic. There are changes in our facial fat in that they are reduced and repositioned, coupled with changes in facial bones, lead to an older appearance. Face lifts are a procedure requiring many adjustments to the facial structure. It requires changes made to bone, fat cells and skin. To think that just a skin stretch will suffice is a fallacy. Stretching the skin can only lead to skin death, a "surgical appearance" and the possibility of plainly visible scars and a distorted appearance.

Face life advancements have come along way in recent years with the development of tumescent anesthesia replacing the traditional general anesthesia. This new way enables face lift procedures to be safe and comfortable. Some other modifications include shorter incisions, shorter scars, quicker recovery time an better outcomes all combined making face lifts more desirable for both men and women. In addition to a face lifts, there is another aging skin treatment or two you may want to consider. In this ever-changing world, advances are continuously being made in skincare.

There are three basic types oily, dry and combination. To find out your skin type, you can perform a patch test on your face. You can do so by simply getting a piece of rice paper or a clean tissue paper and pressing it onto different areas of the face. If it sticks, then you have oily skin. Anti-Wrinkle Cream For Men - Best Wrinkle Cream For Men

There are literally hundreds of anti-wrinkle creams on the market today, but very few that are directly marketed to men. In part, this is because women are a lot easier to sell things to on emotional appeals, while this doesn't always work as well with men. Secondly, it is because most of the creams and anti-aging/anti-wrinkle systems are genuinely unsuitable for men to use. Many of the anti-wrinkle solutions are either too time-consuming (there are actually 5 and 7 step systems out there that take over 40 minutes a day to use!) or are just empty claims that fail to deliver. When it comes to good anti-wrinkle creams for men, there are certain criteria that they must meet:

The product must have clinical trials, customer reviews, and independent testing groups verify that the product matches up to its claims. The product must be a single item, preferably a cream that works without any more lotions, creams, cleansers, or 'systems'. Most men do not have the time to use a 'system' or range of products that takes more than 3-4 minutes to use every day. The product must show quick and noticeable effects in a short duration of time - preferably less than 2 weeks. Since men have a larger net density of collagen in skin, wrinkles don't appear as quickly in males as they do in women. However, this also means that wrinkles are more noticeable in men and need to be dealt with swiftly. The manufacturer must stand by the claims being made and offer a strong refund policy with the product. This is often the biggest testament to the fact that a product is worth its quoted price. If a particular product has no risk-free guarantee, it is likely an ineffective product that you should avoid.

Find the Best Natural Skin Care Cream Today

While there's no one best natural skin care cream that's right for everyone, some products are clearly overall better than others. Finding the best among them takes a little searching, but if you follow these steps, you'll end up with a high quality product that's well suited to your skin's needs.

Get to know your skin

The problem with choosing the best skin creams based on tips from friends or a salespeople is that no matter how well a particular product works for "most people" that doesn't mean it will work for you. There are a number of factors that influence your skin's individual needs. It goes beyond "dry," "oily" and "combination" and skin color is of little importance. To get the best natural skin care cream for you, look for a skin care company that understands how skin types differ and caters to more than one type.

Get credible recommendations

There's nothing wrong with getting product recommendations from your friends, but unless you've got a friend who's a dermatologist, it likely they're unwittingly giving you bad advice. To hook buyers, some manufacturers use harsh chemicals that quickly produce results like smoother, softer skin, but that can damage skin over the long term. Your friends may be recommending a product they've had good results from not knowing what lies ahead. That's why it's better to get your product recommendations by either asking or reading the Web site of a dermatologist or cosmetologist.

Learn about the ingredients

Before you choose a cream that you're going to use on a regular basis, it's vital to understand the ingredients. Words like "natural," "organic," and "botanical" can be interpreted a lot of different ways, so they really don't tell you much. To further confuse things, some less than scrupulous companies create products based on nothing more than myths about which herbs or oils do what with no hard science to back up their claims.

This mean you'll need to do a little research yourself and learn not only what certain popular ingredients are supposed to do for your skin, but exactly how they work and if they have any side effects. This will help you steer clear of any products with ingredients that could damage your skin over time.

On the other hand, if you're not up for reading through a bunch of clinical results in order to find the best skin creams, look for trustworthy companies that genuinely care about quality and stick with their products.

Buy from a reputable company

Then again, finding a skin care company that doesn't make comprises isn't all that simple, either.

It's all too easy to be swayed by a well designed marketing campaign and a list of "scientific" sounding ingredients or supposed "natural cures" for problem skin. None of this is what defines a good company, though. Many of the best skin care companies fly under the radar because they invest more of their profits in researching and developing ever more effective products than they do in marketing.

The best Natural Skin Care Cream for you is one that's not only well suited to your skin type, but that contains truly effective ingredients that are gentle on your skin. Your best bet for finding these is to look for a company that truly cares about results and see what they have available.
